What is ECMO?

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) is a
cutting-edge life support technology that provides
temporary heart and lung function for patients
with severe cardiac or respiratory failure. By
oxygenating blood outside the body and removing
carbon dioxide, ECMO allows healthcare providers
time to stabilize patients and perform critical
interventions, significantly improving survival
outcomes in life-threatening situations.
